On Wednesday 24th September we had the privilege of hosting Stuart Vass who shared his experience at the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF). We were also pleased to welcome his mother, Melissa Cadzow, and Margaret Northcote from RC Campbelltown, representing the NYSF local committee here in SA.
Stuart also shared several personal projects that showcase his initiative and creativity. While undertaking a double degree at the University of Adelaide, he remains deeply engaged in extra-curricular activities: contributing to theatre, exploring robotics – and perhaps most impressively, developing and publishing a game, “STACK & the Grumble Puff from Above”, which is free to play. He continues to expand and refine the game, integrating his learnings, and maintains a YouTube channel where several dedicated players follow his updates. We are very proud of his work. His initiative and dedication have also been recognised: he has been awarded the Highly Commended Burnside Young Citizen of the Year 2025 by the City of Burnside. Congratulations, Stuart!
