Club Meeting Wednesday August 26th 2026
It was another special night as John Rockliff inducted Pauline Bill into the Rotary Club of Burnside. Pauline has been regularly coming to meetings and has been very welcomed by all. She will be a great asset to the Club as she has demonstrated her willingness to help at various events.

Our Guest Speaker for the evening was Heather Willis, President of Legacy in South Australia and Broken Hill. Heather spoke about the work of Legacy as they support War widows both young and old. They also help support the children of Service veterans with schooling and advanced education. Their impact on families is profound and make a big difference supporting people who may be struggling and need financial assistance.
It is an important organisation that reaches out where help is needed.
I personally have fond memories of the activities provided to children whose father had has been around to support the family due to illness of death. Even today, Legacy provides a wonderful lunch for Legacy wards to keep them connected to friends and Legacy. May Legacy continue to give much needed support to those who are in need.
